It is just that I tend to be a bit evangelical about the kind of music I like, and not that many other people like it. I recall once listening to Steve Reich’s Six Pianos with a girl and she asked at the end what sort of music it was. “Minimalist music,” I said excitedly.
“Well,” she replied, “I don’t think I like minimalist music.”
